Buying car insurance in Tucson, AZ

Arizona state law mandates drivers must carry the following minimum amounts of liability insurance:

  • Bodily Injury Liability Coverage Per Person: $25,000

  • Bodily Injury Liability Coverage Per Accident: $50,000

  • Property Damage Liability Coverage: $15,000

Arizona is an at fault state when it comes to car accidents. This means that the insurance company of the driver at fault in an accident will pay for the other party’s injuries and damage. That’s why it’s important to have much higher liability limits than are required by the state, to ensure you’re fully covered in case you cause an accident.

How to get cheap car insurance in Tucson, AZ

Car insurance discounts are one of the best ways to make sure you’re getting a good deal on car insurance. Some of the most common car insurance discounts are:

  • Safe-driver discount: For drivers who have no accidents on their claims history

  • Bundling discount: For getting your auto and home or renters insurance from the same company

  • Military discount: For active-duty service members and their families

  • Multi-car discount: For insuring multiple cars on the same policy

  • Low mileage discount: For drivers who commute less than 7,500 miles annually

Discounts vary by company, and you might not qualify for any of them, so be sure to ask your provider which ones may apply to you.
