Smokers see small drop in life insurance prices
Most demographics saw a minor decrease in life insurance prices from January to February. Surprisingly, when compared to other demographics, 25-years-old female smokers purchasing a $250,000 policy saw the biggest drop of 2.8% in average monthly premiums. While non-smokers saw comparable decreases, the decline for smokers indicates insurers’ eagerness to remain competitive, even if it means incurring some risk.
The favorable price drops for smokers and non-smokers alike demonstrates that now is a good time to buy affordable life insurance for most demographics.
